I do not appreciate any of you assuming that ALL of Clintwood supported Powell Valley. Comments/Statements have been made that insinuate ALL of Clintwood supported PV. That just isn't true. LOGICAL people would want their county schools to excel. ALL of the schools. We have some unsportsmanlike fans, as it is obvious Haysi does, as well. The sad thing is we BOTH have idiots that seem to embarrass the LOGICAL people.

So, that being said, I can't wait to see the day that we have one county school, and all of our kids can play TOGETHER and dominate sports (for those of you who feel that is why kids go to school), but more importantly, educate a county of kids who will be industrious, intelligent, and successful.

I do not think the poster said it was everyone in Clintwood that suppoted Powell Valley. I think he was saying that past actions cause future attitudes. I don't think Clintwood would expect all the people in Haysi to support them and not everyone in Clintwood is going to support Haysi. The rivalry has gone on a long time and old habits are hard to break and I for one think a little in county competition is a good thing. Just leave the kids out of it-I don't agree with talking about anyones child. Consolidation would be great-but we are not there yet. Congrats on a great season Greenwave.

I didn't say that all Clintwood support Powell Valley. I said there were many who did. There may have been some that you didn't see.

The fact is some Clintwood fans thought "true to the LPD" was more important than supporting another county team.
