What about this raise that the county well teachers, janitors, etc. got. Everyone except for the part time aides. Even the subistutes got it. Now isn't that a bunch of crock. I beleive that if it was suppose to be county wide then the part time aides deserve the raise as well. They do just as much as anyone. It isn't their fault their not full time. The county will not hire them as full time. There are some children in the schools that really need the extra help, but the aides can only help them such amount of time a day because of not being full time.

If you are an aid, I imagine they did not give you a raise because you cannot spell or type!

Buddy, typing and spelling has nothing to do with the raise. It said county wide and no it was not. The aides did not get anything. Some aides may do a little more than their job description. I believe that they deserve the raise as well. If you were working at the schools and everyone got this but you wouldn't you be concerned. I have heard that some are upset about this and think that it is unfair.

Naaaaa not a concern at all. I know what my job is like before I sign a contract. I know what I am getting into when I take a job or sign a contract. I do research and find out things...you know...READ! I know what and if I get a raise, if I don't then I don't. Why are you relying on anyone else to GIVE you something. You earn it. If you do not like the way you are treated, QUIT! If you say "but I have nothing else to do!" Who's fault is that? Not the schools...it is yours!

I'm just curious about how much of a pay raise did the substitute teachers get and how much does a part time aide make?
