Prepaid Cellular

December 14 2007 at 8:01 PM

Prepaid Cellular has made a change for the better for all users - across the country. As many people know, Tracfone and Simple Freedom all work in Dickenson County but they are roaming - meaning instead of your phone getting charged for one minute of usage, you get hit for 2 or 3 minutes. Another problem faced by Prepaid Cellular users is the ability to connect and make a call on the first dial - some people have said they place a call with a prepaid carrier, the call disconnects and they call back the second time - it connects but this call just cost you two regular minutes of normal time but roaming time - as much as six minutes got consumed.

Appalachian Wireless now offers prepaid cellular at a flat 15 cents per minute with no roaming and no long distance fees, no extra minute charges, just a flat 1 minute for 1 minute charge. Time cards are available in $10 and $30 denominations at MainBoard in Haysi and the other Appalachian Wireless dealers.
