With all of the flower talk lately

Miss Priss

I wanted to ask if anyone has been to the shop up Sandlick. It's called Especially for You. I went there (to give one of the new places a try) and was very pleased. The owner is so nice and friendly. The prices are not bad, actually lower than I expected compared to a couple of other places in town. She had a very nice selection of gifts in addition to flowers. Someone else was complaining that no where in town had tuxedos or formal rental, well she does. She had a huge catalog lying on a table in the shop. The shop was clean and neat and well stocked with lots of gifts in addition to flowers.

I think before anyone puts someone or someplace down they should go check it out and form their own opinion. This is a small town and while it's just my opinion I think we should all try to support local business. I know this is one business that I will definitely go to again!

Have any of you been there, if so what did you guys think?

Yes, I have been in Rita's store - Especially For You...She does have really nice items...Rita is very customer friendly, she is willing to assist everyone that opens her door...I have also had a really good response at Karen's Floral and Kountry Kottage as well, I always try to split my business up with all of them... They are all deserving of my business. I know that Karen's Floral also offers Tuxedo rentals and pretty sure that Kountry Kottage does as well. I was in Karens Floral today, she had a good selection of items as well, I did notice that she had a stock pile behind her counter, I assume it was items that people have ordered for Valentines, She said that she had been very busy, I was a while checking out between other customers and the phone ringing, I really felt sorry for her...I don't think I would want to be in Karen, Rita or Pam's place right now. If anyone has not been in Karen's since she is back where she belongs, I encourage everyone to go by and see her...She is like a new person now that she is away from the mess she was tied up in with those other people...So many people have said that they would not go in her shop when it was up at the other location because of the other bunch there and because it seemed so crowded, Now, everything is so organized, easily accessed, it's just 100 times better; in my opinion. If we all support these 3 ladies and these 3 ladies can support one another - ALL things will be fabulous! I personally appreciate them for all of their hard work and dedication to their customers, At least I know when I hand one of them a dollar I know that it is appreciated, I know that I am getting my monies worth and I know that they will make my money worthwhile...I know that they are not going to charge me $70.00 for a $3.00 D.S. product, I know that they are going to spend it toward the business; to be there for the next time I need something else, and I know they are going to use it toward the taxes that I pay to them and even better; I am totally comfortable with calling any one of the three up with a telephone order, I trust their choice of "the perfect gift or arrangement" as much as my own judge of a item.
Does anyone know what any of the other Flower shops are charging per dozen of roses? A sign at Karen's Floral said $44.95 C/C on Valentines Day...Not a bad price for Valentines Day!

Just had to say....Kudos to Kountry Kottage

I live out of state and have used Kountry Kottage several times. When I call, the person who answers the phone is nice & professional. I have always been very pleased with the arrangements that are sent and feel I do get my money's worth.

I say visit all of the flower shops

I like to shop around to get the best deal in town!

Since the town is so small, it is easy to visit them all!

I agree with you that everyone should make up their own minds and the only way they can is to go to the shops to see for themselves.

Especially For Ypu

I have been to Rita's shoppe (Especially For You)several times,(I met her while she was working in Lebanon) She came in on a sunday to fix an arrangment for a funeral for me. I drove an hour each way to pick them up. My husband uses her for birthdays, valentines, anniversary;s & any other occasion, he said "those were the prettiest I have sent to you in 23 years" She does an outstanding job,she only sends out thing she would put in her own home. Everything that has come out of her shop is beautiful and very well put together. She has put her heart into this business and is a wonderful person. I could do business in my home town but with her personality, experiance & devotion to her shoppe I felt the need to express my friendship & devotation to her & her business,
