• Breaks park events. On May 17, a guided hike on the Lake Trail will begin at the visitor center at 10 a.m. A gristmill demonstration is set for 1 p.m. at the visitor center.
• Binns-Counts sale, distribution. A clothing sale will be held on May 15-16 and May 29, 30 and 31 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. SHARE distribution will be

• Cystic Fibrosis benefit walk. A walk to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will be held Saturday, May 17 at Splashdam Church. Sign-ups begin at

• Miss Spring Fling pageant. The pageant will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, May 17 at Haysi High School Auditorium and is open to ages 0-21. Registration fee is $40, deadline to register is May 15. Winners receive a crown, trophy and custom sash. Trophies will be awarded to first, second and third place in each age division. • Welcome Wagon meets monthly. The Welcome Wagon will meet at the Clintwood library the third Thursday at 6 p.m.
