| I was interested to see if anyone had some positive feedback for the PTO at SES this year....We were thinking of trying to get an end of the year fair for the kids but we need lots of volunteers!....Also, if there is anything we didn't do this year that you would like to see us try, I'd love to hear about it! |

I was wondering if they let parents volunteer at the school possibly with the kindergarden classes where their children will be? My child will be starting there this year and I'm terrified of her being there without me, at least to begin with till she gets used to it, since she has never been away from me like that. I would like to know how the PTO works, I would gladly volunteer to help with something like a end of the year fair, as well as through out the school year. Could you please email me at mom24256@yahoo.com and give me some more information if you have it. I've not even got to register my child due to not knowing the dates they were doing the registration because of my husbands work schedule and the fact we don't read the news papers, so I don't have any idea the supplies they will need or anything yet, altho I know a lot of them from others who have children who started school in the last couple years. But I would appreciate any info you could give me.....

You sound like a very involved parent and it sounds that you love and take care of your child with a great dear of care, but you really need to just let go. I have seen parents like you and you will be taking your child on date's and then walking him/her through their honeymoon while in the room with them and so on and so forth. |

Actually, anonymous, that is as far from my parenting views as you can get. I do believe you can make a difference.. I will always do what I can to make things better....However, I think it is my job to give my kids the skills they need to be out on their own....but thanks for playing! | |
