Has anyone eaten at Uncle Bub's?

I was just wondering if anyone has eaten at Uncle Bub's.I drove by the other day and saw that they were doing more work..are they expanding? What are there hours and do they have any lunch specials? Does Mr. Wallace have part ownership because I see him there alot and it looks like he is doing alot of the work. If so I wish him much luck. I know Ms. Oquinn is there also. I guess they must be doing pretty good if they are expanding.

Might Try it sometime if they stay in business long enough!

It is in the building beside of Haysi Post Office. They are expanding and making it a bigger place. At least that is what the signs say on the building. So I guess it is true.

I love banana splits. I wonder if they make them.

From the way I see it.

Somebody has to make an effort

July 24 2008, 7:50 AM

Maybe they see it like I do..If someone would make the effort to try to make Haysi more enjoyable then the people of Haysi wouldn't spend there money in the other nearby towns and money WOULD be spent in Haysi. The trick is to find a business that will work for Haysi. Something that people want to do and are willing to come to your establishment to spend there money. It dosen't hurt to have a great personality and make your customers feel welcomed and you truly appreciate them coming. If you have all that then you have a successful business. It just seems like some of the business' in town are lacking a couple of those qualities. Then they wonder why they folded.

I agree with you. Seems Haysi doesn't want to expand. The kids need a place to go. Both Mr. Wallace and Ms. Oquinn are very friendly people. I am glad that they are trying to make a place for people of all ages. I hate going into a place of business and no one says hi or even gives you a thanks. I wish that place the best of luck.

I don't go back if they are not friendly

I hate it when they act like you have intruded on them ...,Or you buy something and they just stand there and don't say thanks ....Or are sharp with you when asking a simple question.
I wish Uncle Bub's all the luck in the world our young people need a good clean drug free place to play games and eat ect......We had the Tiger Den when I was a teen I loved it.

I was in the pizza plus the other day. the ones working that day were really nice. A tall dark haired girl waited on us. She was very polite. I like going into Jones & Counts pharmacy too. The girls are very friendly there. give uncle Bubs a chance and Dave's as well. Thats whats wrong now no one wants to give people a chance.

A BIG Step, But Giving It A Try

August 2 2008, 3:22 AM

Yes, I am exspanding and I know it's a BIG step to take, but I am giving it a try, The building I am in just wasn't big enough and I needed more space, more pool tables and more eating area for customers, I just hope the exspansion pays off if not I will just have to change the place back to the way I had it, Only time will tell, I have not got the exspancion all fixed yet, but I hope to soon have it ready, I will have it posted on the radio and in the news paper when it's finished. I Also plan to soon start my open hours back up at 12am Tuesday, wednesday, thursday,Friday, 3pm Saturday & Sunday, closed Monday, right now my opening hours Tuesday - Sunday At 3PM, Closed Monday.
I know there was post put on here when I first Opened that I wouldn't last long and I don't think there is many business that is put in know if it will last and stay in business or not that's the chance that business people take and it's a big chance but I feel that if anyone puts in a business and is willing to do that for there town or state that people should give them a chance, putting in a business takes alot of work and money and it takes business owners being freindly to people in and outside of business, I seem to get along with people, I enjoy seeing people enjoying themselfs, I am not hard to get along with, I don't have to put up with no drug dealings, no alcohol, and I don't let anyone that is not straight and can't maintain themself stay in the building I ask them nicely to leave, I have only had to ask 2 people to leave since I been here and thats been 5 months and they didn't give me a hard time about asking them to leave either, anyone that knows me no that drugs and alcohol around my place of business is a BIG NO, NO, and they respect that and I respect the customers for respecting me for that I had said it since the opening of my business I will be here in business as long as I am being supported and I have been supported by great people and I thank each and everyone for supporting me, I will be here for everyone as long as there here supporting me, It takes nice hard working business owners and good customers to make any business work no matter what type of business it is and I hope to meet more people an see more people enjoying themselfs here at Uncle Bubs Arcade and Deli for along time to come.

I hope to see people that hasn't been here soon and Thanks to everyone that does come in for your support.

Hey! I haven't had the opportunity to stop by. Can you give me some info? What kind of food do you serve? What kind of games do you have. We often go out and would love to give your place a try! What are your hours now? Thanks!
