IT SADDENS ME THAT YOU LIVE IN A POVERTY DEMOGRAPHIC YET, YOU WOULD WANT MCCAIN WHO WILL SCREW YOU ON TAXES. THE RICH GET RICHER WHILE THE POOR GET POORER. ARE YOU AFRAID OF A BLACK MAN WHO IS ADDRESSING THE REAL ISSUES THAT FACE OUR NATION? OUR ECONOMY IS IN THE TOILET, AMERICAN JOBS ARE NOW OVER SEAS, OIL IS THROUGH THE ROOF, AND ANY GIVEN COUNTRY COULD BLOW US OFF THE MAP AT ANY GIVEN TIME. WE CAN NOT AFFORD ANOTHER BUSH ADMINISTRATION. LET'S LEAVE RELIGION OUT OF IT. I WOULD LIKE AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE HIGHER TAX BRACKETS PAY HIGHER TAXES (YES, I AM IN THE UPPER PERCENTILE). I WOULD LIKE OUR COUNTRY TO NOT BE HATED BY EVERY OTHER PEOPLES IN THE REST OF THE WORLD. FOR THE RECORD, OBAMA IS PENTECOSTAL, DO YOUR HOMEWORK! I THINK IF YOU WOULD BE HONEST YOU ARE JUST AFRAID TO ADMIT THAT A BLACK MAN HAS A BETTER GRASP ON WHAT OUR COUNTRY NEEDS! IT IS NOT THE CRUSTY, OLD WHITE MAN ANYMORE! WOULD YOU RELATE BETTER TO A MAN THAT CAME FROM NOTHING OR FROM A MAN BORN WITH A SILVER SPOON IN HIS MOUTH?!? IF YOU PICKED THE FIRST CHOICE YOU SHOULD BE VOTING FOR OBAMA BUT YOUR RACISM AND IGNORANCE PROBABLY WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO ANSWER THAT QUESTION HONESTLY. BESIDES, YOU ARE PROBABLY ONE OF THE 5% IN THE U.S. THAT IS WORTH MORE THAN 5 MILLION DOLLARS SO YOU SHOULD VOTE MCCAIN. IDIOT!
Why don't you throw a little of that rage at Boucher?
October 8 2008, 11:12 PM
Because he is a democrat and democrats would never let us down even after being in congress for over two decades. I really don't get you people who are so quick to blame Bush for everything but you don't dare ever speak ill of Boucher. He takes us for granted. We vote for him no matter how little he does in return. Throw the bum out. It couldn't possibly be any worse no matter who we elected.
Re: Why don't you throw a little of that rage at Boucher?
October 9 2008, 7:54 AM
My rage is appropriately directed at the ignorant people that are going to flush this country down the toilet because of their own insecurities. I would wipe out congress and start from scratch. I did not vote boucher. I would like to see younger, fresher men and women in congress that have a clue what is going on in the world TODAY not, 30 yrs. ago.
I do not want to see a man in office who has the same opinions as the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.
Barack Obama has a long standing relationship with this man and would not have cultivated (not a cult but close to it) that relationship unless they held the same beliefs.
Here in the country if you go to church and the preacher preaches about something you don’t agree with. Do you go back? And if you do how many times before you find another spiritual advisor? No matter what Obama says he will not cut off his beliefs which coincide with Rev. Jeremiah Wright… Wright for President.
If you have doubt about Wright go to the internet and watch some of his sermons. In this one thing -Obama actions speak louder than words.
March 14, 2008
Which of these outrageous positions of his pastor and longtime spiritual advisor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, does Barack Obama endorse?
That African-Americans should not say "God Bless America," but rather "God damn America" for "killing innocent people"?
That 9/11 was a case of "America's chickens coming home to roost"?
That Zionism has an element of "white racism"?
The one implied by his decision to make a pilgrimage to Libyan dictator Moammar Khadafy with Louis Farrakhan - a man Wright's church has hailed for having "truly epitomized greatness"?
These are not idle questions. And certainly not unfair ones.
Just two weeks ago, the Democratic National Committee put out a press release asking the same kind of questions of John McCain, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee.
The attack concerned Rev. John Hagee, a leading televangelist who endorsed McCain's candidacy; the DNC demanded that McCain renounce Hagee's support because of the minister's past anti-Catholic and anti-Muslim remarks.
Noting McCain's statement that he was "not endorsing some of [Hagee's] positions, the DNC asked: "Which Hagee positions does McCain endorse?"
Well, right back at 'em.
Hagee, it should be noted, has merely announced his support for McCain, with whom he's had no longstanding relationship.
Obama and Wright, by contrast, have been intensely close for two decades: The Chicago minister married the Obamas, baptized their children and dedicated their house. He even provided the title of the senator's book, "The Audacity of Hope."
Now ABC News says it has reviewed dozens of Wright's sermons - and found repeated public denunciations of America.
In response to media inquiries about the relationship, Obama has condemned some of Wright's more incendiary remarks and sidestepped others by saying he wasn't in church that day.
As recently as this week, his campaign has insisted, "There are things [Wright] says with which Sen. Obama deeply disagrees."
Of course, when John McCain said pretty much the same thing about Hagee, the DNC went up the wall.
Obama clearly realizes that his spiritual mentor could be a major political liability - which explains why, at the last minute, he canceled plans to have Wright deliver an invocation at his presidential-campaign kickoff.
He's going to have to do better than that. For surely the Democratic Party can't hold its own candidate to a different standard than it does Republicans.
New York Post http://www.nypost.com/seven/03142008/postopinion/editorials/obamas_minister_of_hate_101959.htm
Remember tha Hagee has only endorced Mccain. He and Mccain are not close.
Still waiting on an answer about Obama's reglious or radical beliefs. I really think this is an important topic. You have throwed out the Radical word but will not back up what you mean about that. This is very important.
Are you saying the McCain has had everything givein to him? Because if I remember he spent a little time at a POW camp and was tourtured? But I am sure that it was with a silver spoon. Lets see has Obama speint any time with our troops. Has he campainged to them? Really i am asking I dont know. If not behaps he should. Or does our troops want him leading them in battle. Really I want to know
Used to have respect for him but after his dirty campaign, self proclaimed "Maverick", choice in runningmate to get the female vote, and weak agenda I no longer have. As far as his military credentials go, my Grandfateher was a Vietnam Vet and is a great man but no more able to lead this country than John Mccain. In less than a month the world will see President Obama!
He is not Muslim as backwards folk would like to believe. His church although radical in a lot of beliefs are believers in our saviour Jesus Christ. These negative campaigns, esp bringing up the school professor linked to terrorism years ago show the desperation of the Mccain camp. Obama worked on school reform with this man an that is all. McCain/Palin have both
allowed people to yell out "terrorist" or "traitor" during events. This is a very dangerous even inviting sterotype that they support at the safety of a man. Obama offers hope, something we havent had in 8yrs of the Bush era. McCain offers more Bush agenda and a laughingstock VP.
It was later in 1995 that Mr. Ayers and Ms. Dohrn hosted the gathering, in their town house three blocks from Mr. Obama’s home, at which State Senator Alice J. Palmer, who planned to run for Congress, introduced Mr. Obama to a few Democratic friends as her chosen successor. That was one of several such neighborhood events as Mr. Obama prepared to run, said A. J. Wolf, the 84-year-old emeritus rabbi of KAM Isaiah Israel Synagogue, across the street from Mr. Obama’s current house.
“If you ask my wife, we had the first coffee for Barack,” Rabbi Wolf said. He said he had known Mr. Ayers for decades but added, “Bill’s mad at me because I told a reporter he’s a toothless ex-radical.”
“It was kind of a nasty shot,” Mr. Wolf said. “But it’s true. For God’s sake, he’s a professor.”
Way to go Dusty, i for one will never vote for Boucher again. He does nothing for our county unless it's to the good of the ones who doesn't need it.My husband worked 34 yr's in the coal mines and we can't get the water run to our home, that's the type of person he is. The grants he helps get for Dickenson County goes to things that have no value to most of us,we're the ones who needs some help and when my husband tried to talk with him about getting us some water,he was very rude and told him to go to the county that he had nothing to do with it.
I don't see Obama's signature on this ltr begging for control on Fannie & Freddie. Senator McCain wrote the letter. I understand that Freddie and Fannie made hefty contributions gladly accepted by Barrack Obama to further his political aspirations. I believe we have no innocent politicians in this financial mess and we should vote with our minds--not anger.
Bonnie, come this way; I can help you out of the weeds. This is a message board--not a grammar class. We all know the difference between “their” and “there” but thanks for sharing your grasp for the obvious.
Well when clinton was in office i had money in my pocket. Now i still work but i need a food stamp card just so my kids can eat. THANK YOU MR. BUSH!!!!!!
Dont you mean thank you Mr. Kain for the higher tax's you are paying and in turn needing Food stamps to make it. At least when the Demo. take your money they do raise food stamps allotments. Again Thanks Gov. You do know that Kaine was wanting to run for Vice pres. He raises taxes in VA I am sure he can do it for the Great USA.
Any way China will be takeing over as the top nation within the next 15 years. We will not be under so much pressure then. Maybe then we can afford to let a Democrate in "Hilliary"?
How is your Chinise. I believe we all need to brush up.
Do you know that Inda has more college graduates then we do. They are more educated then we are and are quickly learning how to take our jobs. What are you going to do about that. They learn English in grade school and dont stop untill college. Why do you think that is so important to them? By percentage of population India a third world country is more educated then we are.
We as a nation need to get our heads out of our rear and get over this party system and address the real promblems.
The war will be over but India, china are not going away. How do you as a president address the fact that we as a nation isdeclining in the world. We will be second rate before this generation dies. MARK IT DOWN China is activitly buying all oil futures. Within 20 years China will take the oil for its large population and they will do it legally. If you thank we have a promblem now then our children will be happy to pay 5.00 a gallon. They will be looking at 15.00 a gallon. We must develop alternative resourses now. This is not politics this is fact. Fight for change all you want but make sure it is the right kind of change. Omba has not once told me how he is going to ensure that USA stays on top. I can believe that if worse comes to worse McCain will take the fuel. Omba will just talk or give up.
Maybe we are not seeing the larger picture. Perhaps the war is over oil and that we need to make a presence in the oil filds to protect the future of our kids. Do you know the larger picture? India and China are painting it right now. We are not the center of the world. Others are here to take it. You better vote for someone who is willing to do what it takes to keep what we have. Think Haysi.
It not the BUSH;fault it the fault of all those people that voted those two in office, for all these years,Vote MCCIAN SO THERE WILL BE NO MISTAKES THIS TIME.
Voting Mccain would be the mistake. I don't find anyone affiliated with him creating a ruccus and throwing around the word "terrorist"(palin). They are a joke! As a woman, I am disgusted that palin and I share the same gender. She needs to spend time cleaning up her own home before she is trying to run mine. OBAMA!!!
I agree with Freedom. I am insulted as a woman that the Republican party thought they could nominate just any woman and get my vote. I think they thought a woman would pull in the Hillary vote, just because she is a woman. I feel my intelligence has been insulted and every woman should be angered at this ploy to pull in votes. I want to vote for an experienced, intelluctual woman, who other will take seriously. Who can take Palin, with her winks and downhome sayings, seriously?
We have waited how long to have a female in a position of power and they give us Palin?!? What a joke! Hilary is a completely different story. Are we supposed to feel confident in a woman that needs to be told EXACTLY what to say to questions in a debate... remind anyone of having to be barefoot and pregnant, in the kitchen all day, and saying yes sir, what do you think honey? Not for me. Insulted- you should be. We had the opportunity to have our female stamp on the gov. Us ladies have been multi-tasking for decades and they give us this cracker jack wind me up so I can speak woman. Shame on Mccain!
I have written here a couple of times about Rev. Wright and you all still want to side step that issue. You want to talk about Palin being a woman and how you are offend about who they have picked.
I want to know how you can defend Obama’s Rev. Wright? For gods sake he has deep rooted beliefs and opinions that coincide with Wright. Just because he now is trying to distance himself from Wright does not change the years of sermons that Obama believed in.
Please give me something other than this mindless drivel about "change” You want change well you will get it. I just hope it’s what you want.
He was elected as a senator this year, and then went straight to campaigning for the presidency. What kind of job has he done for that state? The job he was elected to do and then spent this whole year wanting another job. He has already abandoned his original job.
He did not come to Lebanon because he thought the people here are important to his campaign. He came here because the Republican Party named Lebanon as a model city. The Republican Party brought the notoriety to us and Obama showed up two days later. He is playing the American people.
Whether a republican or a democrat is in office the War will be over and we still have to address the issues here. We need to address why our people are less educated then India and China. We need to address what we are going to do for fuel in 15 years. Folks you need to look outside of this narrow box that the media is forcing on us and face up to reality. We as a nation have to change and hearing mindless drivel from the candidate (or what you want to hear) does not make a change. Every person in this county has to change their habits and not be a disposable country.
Any change that any candidate makes to address these issues the American public will not agree on and in turn will not accept. You get what you vote for. Make sure that you vote for some one who has power and the fortitude to make the tough decisions. The one that will keep America great even though it forces the public to do things they don’t want.
We even had an example of that here in Dickenson Co. Remember when the Board of Supervisors wanted to implement the vehicle sticker tax. For 5$ you would get a sticker for any car registered in Dickenson. This extra money could have been allotted for many things such as our school system or fixing the water system to families that don’t have any. The good that it could have been far outweighed the 5 dollars per car tax. A few narrow minded people cried and wined about that and a weak board gave in.
Don’t let this happen to America. Vote someone who has been tried not someone telling you what you want to hear....Obama can’t even stand beside his own preacher when has supported him for years. Obama was weak when he needed to be strong.
Which of these outrageous positions of his pastor and longtime spiritual advisor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, does Barack Obama endorse?

That 9/11 was a case of "America's chickens coming home to roost"?

I am american through and through yet, For the past 8 yrs. I have been unhappy w/ our country. We became "independent" because we wanted several freedoms. It is our own people and gov. questioning those freedoms continuously. As for the racism that a lot of white men have toward the black man...Look around! It is extremely prevelent in Dickenson co. I can see an anger in people that are not native here (unless you are american indian) yet act as if you are better. Discrimination in 2008 is for retarded morons! I find that the woman asking for proof that Obama doesn't believe in REV WRIGHT is grasping at straws. I would like a safe prosperous nation therefore, I will vote Obama.
I believe that grasping at straws is all that Obama has when answering questions about Wright. Obama wanted to have Wright give the blessing for him to begin the presidential campaign and then figured out that Wright is a negative to him when the public found out about his/Wrights radical beliefs.
GO TO UTUBE and watch one of Wrights sermons and then come back here and defend him. I ask every one who reads this to do the same thing. If you don’t believe what Wright preaches about then you would not attend church there for 20 years. Obama either believes or is only attending to prove he is not a Muslim and thinks he is making a political move. Which one is it? In either case it is maneuvering on Obama part, or it is a means to enrich his public appeal.
No matter if Obama is not Muslim and all of the things he says are not political rhetoric. McCain has proved himself during the Vietnam War. He went to war he suffered and his strength and dedication to his country carried him back home and into office to try to help his/this nation. I do believe he will do the best he can do with out alternative motivates. McCain may not prove to be the best leader we have had in history but at least you know that he is no going to allow this country to move further away from the Christian beliefs.
No one can yet tell what Obama's alternative motives are yet. He has not proved himself. Let him come back in a few years and earn his place as a political leader
And as to the above post. You are truly sounding off. And that is what this board if for. Please continue. But perhaps with a little more thought and add a public document to help your case. Don’t get mad just prove your case. I can admit to errors. Just admit that Wright is a negative to Obama’s campaign. Obama did.
I thought we got rid of the spelling police. I hope I did better. And perhaps I am not as educated as a party line voter. Unfortunately I do try to understand both sides and make an independent decision. I bet you had help in developing your ideas perhaps you daddy instructed you how to vote. That is usually how party line voters are….Oh and by the way I have lived here in Dickenson Co. the majority of my life. I left and choose to return because I found more hatred away from here in the city then I every found here…. Not just toward black people but as much toward white.. I think that you even saying that you think yourself a little better of yourself then those in this county. And thats ok we all are Americans and will allow you your own retroic. Enjoy
May be not proof but certainly compelling evidence--Obama is a student of Rev Wright rhetoric for now 20 years: How long does it take to learn repeated lessons?
Since elected to the Senate, Obama has served a total of 143 days in the Congress—sounds sufficient to me that he now has on-the-job training for the highest office in the land!
So after 20 years of having hatred for whites and for America drilled into his head while attending church, you still cannot name one single instance where Obama, through his 11 years of being in the public spotlight (state and U.S. senator), has made a statement or taken any actions as a lawmaker that indicate he hates America and personally plans to take us down the road to ruin.
You want to talk about Obama's lack of foreign policy and military experience? Fine. That great idol of the Republicans, Ronald Reagan, didn't have any of that experience either. Yet I certainly don't recall anyone, especially those Republicans now screaming about Obama's lack of experience, raising the same issue back in 1980. Yet during this time, the Iranians had held Americans hostage for what ended up being 444 days, and one would imagine that the next president needed foreign policy experience in order to deal with the issue. Yet not a peep. Oh, and I remind you that Reagan's political experience amounted to two terms as governor. Bush Jr. had 6 years, dropping out 2 years into his second term to run for president.
Bush Jr.'s foreign policy experience prior to 2001? Zero. Where were the Republicans raising this issue back then? But, you know what? Considering what an absolute failure and disaster Bush has been regarding foreign policy, you may be right to raise the issue when it comes to electing the next president.
And just where was McCain's lapel flag pin during the past two debates? I did not realize that he disliked America so much.
No supporters of McCain can name any major policy differences between him and Bush. I don't think even the McCain campaign can. Can you name five?
As for Palin...if you are the same Linda that posts on the Clinchco board, you never responded to my posts about her. Perhaps you didn't see them.
It is true that Palin, as with other VPs, historically has a small chance of becoming president. However, a president does not have to die in office for Palin to take over the duties. Any president can become incapacitated for any reason, for any length of time, even if only temporarily. This, combined with McCain's age (he'll be 80 if he wins now and serves 2 terms) and history of skin cancer, increases the chances of Palin becoming president. So I believe it is justified for increased scrutiny to be placed on her.
Besides, it was increasingly obvious to me that he picked her because he wanted a freshened-up campaign, along with the attention it would get him. And it certainly has given him more attention.
She has no foreign policy experience. But she does live next to Russia, which apparently counts for something. She has no national security experience, but she does know more about energy than anyone else, according to McCain, and in his world this counts. If she is so smart and intelligent and ready for the job as VP, then why has McCain's campaign insisted on shielding her from the media? She is asked what newspapers she reads, and she can't name one, not even the newspaper in Juneau, where I assume she has lived since becoming governor? Shoot...it took me about a minute to locate via the Internet the Juneau Empire, which I would assume is the main newspaper there.
Have you seen the news reports that a hacker gained access to her private e-mail account? How about the evidence discovered that she has violated the Open Records Act by using her personal e-mail account to conduct business as governor? If elected VP, this shows she'll certainly have the same disregard for the law as both Bush and Cheney have.
Yes, I realize that the arguments I am making against Palin (no experience) also apply to Obama.
However, it is the McCain campaign and a majority of his supporters who leveled the same "no experience" charges against Obama, yet turned right around and picked someone for the VP slot who was just as "inexperienced."
Check your 90's history...wasn't mccain part of keating 5?! Ripping off savings and loan companies sound familiar? I would prefer inexperience to a criminal any day!
But, back to the "he cannot win" argument: to vote for John McCain is to vote for a man who cannot win. Yes, I am saying it here and now: John McCain cannot win this election. The handwriting is on the wall. The Fat Lady is singing. It is all over. Finished. John McCain cannot win.
With only three weeks before the election, Barack Obama is pulling away. McCain has already pulled his campaign out of Michigan. In other key battleground states, McCain is slipping fast. He was ahead in Missouri; now it is a toss-up or leaning to Obama. A couple of weeks ago, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida were all leaning towards McCain, or at least toss-up states. Now, they are all leaning to Obama. Even the longtime GOP bellwether state of Indiana is moving toward Obama. In addition, new voter registrations are at an all-time high, and few of them are registering as Republicans. In fact, the Republican Party now claims only around 25% of the electorate, and Independents are increasingly leaning toward Obama.
Ladies and gentlemen, Barack Obama is headed for an electoral landslide victory over John McCain. John McCain can no more beat Barack Obama than Bob Dole could beat Bill Clinton.
Yet the VP is going to be a part of the presidency for 4 to 8 years (unless you agree with Dick Cheney, who apparently thinks that the office of the VP is its own entity, belonging neither to the legislative nor executive branches of government).
Plus, if she is "only going to be the VP" and the job isn't really all that important in the grand scheme of things, then she really didn't need to meet with a group of world leaders at the United Nations prior to the VP debate, did she?
So it does not concern you at all, based on McCain's own yardstick for Obama, that Palin has no experience. Palin could at any time be called on to step into the role of president, yet her "experience" in two of the most important areas of government amounts to...
*National security (she knows a lot about energy, more than anyone else in America per McCain).
*Foreign policy (Alaska is near Russia).
Also, like Bush, she apparently isn't the least bit interested in keeping up with the news, telling Katie Couric that she reads "all of them" when asked which newspapers she reads and then couldn't name a single one. Shoot, she apparently doesn't even read the local newspaper of Alaska's state capitol.
A few more points: apparently no one here who supports Palin is the least bit concerned that the McCain campaign is doing its very best to shield her from the press. If she is so intelligent and such a great politician, what are they so afraid of? If I didn't know better, McCain picked Palin simply to inject some excitement into his campaign (perhaps in leveling charges of sexism when others focus on Palin, he should look at his own motives first). Yes, she is young and attractive and a breath of fresh air in his campaign, and likely diverts some of the criticism that McCain is too old to be president, yet he doesn't trust her the least bit to get out and drum up support for his campaign. According to some reports, he has even made some decisions affecting the running of his campaign without consulting with her. Holding rallies is one thing, but she needs to be on the Sunday news shows and take every opportunity to make the rounds and spread the message of McCain's campaign. They wouldn't even let her be interviewed after the three presidential debates. If she can't face the likes of Couric and not come away whining about how bad she was treated, then how the heck can she advise McCain in much more serious matters?
I also find it interesting that some people complain that they are uncertain about Obama because he is an "unknown," yet he has been in the public spotlight for nearly 2 years now, has participated in many debates, and has been interviewed quite a few times, while Palin is the real unknown entity, having been introduced to America only less than 2 months ago, and as mentioned above, has been hidden on purpose from most of the media in the country.
Many people are surprised over the amount of attention that Palin has received, and even question it. I mean, she is only the VP pick, which is relatively unimportant. However, McCain was a fool if he didn't think she'd get this much attention, and indeed he may have counted on it.
Open your eyes and mind--Palin is not at the top of the ticket. Acknowledge you vote the other party and resent a woman (Republican) in a respectable, titled position--we are accustom to white men thinking for and making serious decisions for women--and it is hard to invision a change in that longstanding tradition. That's good enough. You don't have to get personal; like most of us who are not perfect, Gov Palin and Senator Biden have pluses and minuses on their resume. Some may say they don't vote for a candidate because he is black and closely aligned with the Muslin community through bith--father and stepfather--that is just as tunnel visioned as not voting for a woman!
if I thought she could do the job. I understand that Palin is not at the top of the ticket. I also understand that if anything happened to McCain she would be running the country-No, I amend that. The crusty old white guys would again be running the country because she would have to do whatever they tell her to do.
I said I was insulted by the Republican party because they think women will vote for any woman. I would love to vote for a qualified woman. Palin is obviously nothing but a ploy to gain cheap votes. The republicans think women do not have the ability to see that.
As an student of history and an expert on political qualifications, have you considered running for office--Gov Palin was voted mayor of her small community. This community, a tad larger than Haysi, propelled her career. We need you in Washington and, look at all the old crusty white guys, it is never too late. I'd vote for you not because you are a woman but because of your open mindedness and credentials alone.
A "tad" larger than Haysi? Is that in population or land area? I think the term would be "much, much larger."
Per the 2000 Census, Haysi had 186 residents. Wasilla had almost 5,500 (estimates for 2007 put the pop. at 9780. I doubt that Haysi has gotten any closer to the number of Wasilla residents over the past 8 years). You would have to combine the populations of both Wise and Norton to even think about approaching the population of Wasilla.
Oh yes! My credentials are extensive. I received them from the Palin School of Winks and Nods. I have learned all of the down home sayings and purchased a fine pair of black rimmed glasses, although my eye sight is perfect.
This country is the absolute best country in the world. We can all express our opinions without fear of government retaliation. Of course, we may be beaten with a very large stick of sarcasm, but we all are big enough to take it, and grin.
Why would anyone in their right mind vote for John McCain
October 11 2008, 11:13 AM
Of the two devils, I chose the one better known. The one who fought for our Country (did Obama serve in our armed forces?), the one that has an American father (who also served our Country—Obama’s dad and stepfather, neither American and both Muslins). I vote for the one who calls America home and is NOT a heartbeat away from calling Kenya home (with half-brothers--and other close relatives calling Kenya home); the one not indoctrinated with Muslin beliefs from birth until 20 years ago! Praise the Lord; Obama, became a Christian to benefit his political standing in Southside Chicago under the tutorship of the Right Rev. Wright). Are we ready to have The Right Rev. Wright as our next President’s spiritual advisor? Do we want Michele Obama representing us as First Lady of the United States abroad and telling the world what she (and perhaps even Obama and the Rev. Wright) really thinks of our Country—maybe PROUD for the second time? I understand that many Muslins are good people (as with any and all religious organizations), but with Muslins leaders declaring war on this Country, the terrorism our biggest threat, how can we tell the difference between the good Muslins and terrorists? Does a Muslin born and breed president, in office for 8 years perhaps benefiting from the Islamic world leaders’ money make you and your children sleep better tonight?
Is Barrack Obama attractive? You bet. Obama is a gifted politician, speaker, handsome, educated and, in fact, eye candy! Do we have a choice? Really? Do we believe Obama has the United States of America as we know it first and foremost on his agenda? I’m not convinced. Do we think the Islam communities are not financing and praying to Allah for an Obama win? Yes, they have so stated. Christ, have we Americans lost our senses and the will and capacity to think. Are the stakes too high to waiver for the known?
Is McCain my first choice? NO. Have I voted Republican before—NEVER? Is John McCain a savior and knight in shinning armor? NO. I feel at least with McCain, chances are he is a one-term president and we will have another opportunity in four years for a better pool of candidates. We can halt the influx of Islamic influence from abroad, override alleged voter fraud by ACORN and others, to advance Obama victory in November. In addition, we will give the inexperienced young (many angry black) voters from our campuses a chance to grow up and appreciate who we are and what we stand for here in the United States of America.
You asked? Just a couple of my thoughts as to why I can (hold my nose) and vote for McCain. I cannot cast my vote for the Christian who is too close to Hollywood airheads, our greatest rap stars and comedians, born into, closely aligned with and indoctrinated by the Islamic communities of the world.
God Bless America. Democracy--that's what it is all about. Voting party line for the sake of party does not sound reasonable to me either--when two people always agree, one is not thinking.
