There is some good economic news for customers of Appalachian Power today.
In November, Appalachian Power customers saw a rate increase on their power bills, but now those customers will be getting some of that money back.
Customers of the power company will see refund credits applied to their current-month charges on bills that are currently being mailed.
Appalachian Power estimates that customers refunds will average about $4.
On November 17, 2008, the Virginia State Corporation Commission authorized a base rate increase generating $168 million in new revenue for Appalachian Power.
