If you have removed as much of the fabric paint as you could while it was wet, there is probably not much else that can be done. Fabric paints were designed to be permanent and highly washable on most fabrics. Check with
http://www.fabriclink.com/fabriccare.html for expert removal ideas. And check the stores...there may be new high-tech products out there that may help.
Once dry, fabric paints air cure and set rapidly. Perhaps you can fabric paint a design into the remaining stained areas? Just a suggestion. How about making a pretty floor cloth to go over it?
