I usually don't post here, and I realize my name may not be familiar to you, but I wanted to let you know you will be in my thoughts.
Your pain and frustration are evident and my heart goes out to you.
Keep your chin up. I know it seems hopeless, but god does not give us what we can't handle. You will get through this. Do not give up. If you give up, he does win. If you can hold your head high and know you've done everything in your power to do the right thing, he cannot destroy you. He had power over you once, do not give it to him again.
As far as the warrant goes, I've got a bit of experience with them myself (don't ask) so even though you didn't ask for it, here's my advice.
You're best bet is to turn yourself in, don't wait for them to come get you, and don't try to hide. It'll only make matters worse.
You will most likely spend a day or two in jail before you go court. If you do turn yourself in, it's best to do it early in the week. If you turn yourself in on a Thursday or Friday, you may wind up spending the entire weekend in jail. Don't panic. You'll be fine. Stay calm and keep to yourself and you won't have any problems.
The most important thing is to stay calm. Take things one step at a time. Listen to the information you're given. And when you get to court, don't be affraid to ask questions.
I highly doubt that you will receive any kind of jail time after you go to court. Most likely they will work out some kind of wage garnishing deal, and send you on your way. If the warrant is for child support payments, they're going to want you out working, not sitting in jail sucking up tax dollars.
You will get through it, and you will be stronger for it. Trust me, I know whereof I speak.
Please, fell free to e-mail me if you want to talk or have any question I may be able to answer for you. You are not alone!
