into shooting rimfire. A buddy had one with a nice Redfield scope. It has a "big gun" look and feel and with a good scope it was a pleasure to shoot. Now I had several 22's in the safe, most with iron sights, and a couple with chessey small tube rimfire scopes. I also had several decent scopes...mounted one a 22...next thing I know, I'm shooting 2000 rounds a month!
I have never put a 77/22 on paper. However, on steel targets it will go shot for shot with most guns. I've shot squirrels and coons with that 77/22 at the deer lease. It works in real life....as far as some of our insane accuracy requirments go (dots at 25 yards) I can't say.
