Bush cheated in 2000. Never forget that. Also, never forget that the majority of Americans DON'T CARE. Statistically, Republicans are about 1/3rd of the population - not one half. Democrats make up about 40% and independents/other parties the rest. Somehow the republicans win all the time? Things that make you go, hmm. Unusally Democrats done turn up to the polls. 'Independent' usually means 'I can't be bothered'. (NOT ALWAYS - I am 'technically' a registered independent but always vote and have always voted for democrats). The 'other' parties are just pretending we don't live in a two-party power stranglehold and throw their votes away a la Nader.
17% of Americans surveyed think they in the top 1% income bracket. Hilarious yet disapointing... and that's how the elephant lives. Oh, yeah, and all that evangelical protestantism in the south. I'm not worried about the 'education system that churns out yer middle american, glassy eyed, god-fearin' dickwad' - that, my friend SCARES ME TO FUCKING DEATH.
