i know that the best team doesn't always win, and then there is the definition of the best team. the pool undoubtedly had better players man for man than everton, but everton proved to be the better team. feeling the injustice is my whole point and in the end the whole thing is all about irrationality. i shouldn't care, but i do, i'll look for desperate excuses, straws to cling to, beleifs to be held and thrown away at will, anything that can justify my team's performance in relation to every other team.
if chelsea are the best team, technically, then they should win because they are the best team, if we are the inferior then i beleive we will be the best team on guts, determination and passion......football is built on hypocrisy in that respect.
as this started, england were described as underacheivers, and pete said if you win then you acheive, if you don't, you lose and are therefore losers. the point is that many english feel that our manager is failing to gel our squad of talented individuals into a team, both on a tactical basis and spiritually. our manager has no passion and that translates to our team - dealing with games in a cold clinical fashion doesn't work for us, we need the fire and are sorely lacking it. |
