Response to Brawl could affect ratings

Maybe PNG is too stubborn to let go of this rather 'trivial' thing that my jeapodize AusAid-assisted projects that would be of real benefit to PNG but one should also ask why Australia is making PNG look stupid, not only in the way they treated the Chief, but also the kind of stance Canberra is taking as a response to what had happened. If Australia is going to use pure political rhetoric or justifying its actions in view of some literal application of the law (while taking advantage of this airport security issue) to flesh its muscles in the Asia Pacific region then its about time we come to recognize this. If Howard's 'big brother', Bush, fleshes his muscles in the Arab world, I would't be surprised the 'small' brother downunder, as usual, is to follow suit by throwing its weight around in the Asia-Pacific region. Before stirring further similar sentiments, why can't both countries admit that they need each other, though in different ways: Australia for economic, political and security reasons and PNG for development and nationbuilding. The last thing Howard may want is to make PNG resent him and the last thing PNG may want is to make Australia cut off the strings of its aid programs.
