"THE EVENT" ... LIVE FROM THE DESERT ... THE DEVIL VS. KAREN RUSSELL

Many intuitive people around the world are wondering about events to come which will shape our destiny as a common race of humanity. Indeed many are waiting for the other shoe to drop in the form of some singular world changing "event."
Some believe "The Event" soon to unfold will be UFOs/aliens from outer space revealing themselves to us Earthlings. This is the subject of a popular American TV show called "The Event."
Strange happenings in outer space such as "starquakes," Tsunamis, nuclear explosions, rampant Third World immigration and the death of The West, a plethora of family breakups, archetype MTV morals and other issues have taken center stage in our lives. Each of them is an event in and of itself, and also a part of the larger "Event" which is coming together like a still yet-to-be-defined jigsaw puzzle.
How can we prepare ourselves for this exciting yet troubled future? A future of monumental change humanity has not seen since the discovery of the New World in 1942, the use of gunpowder vs. the sword, the rise of Martin Luther and the publication of the Holy Bible.
Yet can we even begin to prepare for "The Event" when we knowingly separate ourselves into political factions based on hatred in support of totally incompetent rulers like Bush 43, Uber Community Organizer Obama and Sarah the Moose of Alaska fame? That hatred has to come out anyway, so we filter it through political/comedy shows. And so here we are ...
Meanwhile, the puppet masters, whomever they are (satanic, ancient financiers, shadowy illuminated figures, oxygen stealing parasites) continue to implement their agenda, while we are left to face the still unfolding global financial collapse, BP eco-debacle, rise of a highly nationalistic China, HIV/Aids, Marxist universities, political correctness, condoms on bananas at school, a lack of real leadership on all levels, men turning into women, women turning into men and children run wild as though on some form of permanent Spring Break.
Again we must ask if the sum of these things form "The Event" that is to come? So what is this "Event" and why does it appeal to the flesh akin to a scary bedtime story not unlike Washington Irving's "The Legent Sleepy Hollow?"
Is it easier to be afraid of (or trust in) aliens than to engage in the hard work required to get to know the one, true, holy God and author of the universe which may indeed house these alleged aliens flying around in UFOs through wormholes?
Would the appearance of outer space aliens on the White House lawn (as opposed to, some say, the illegal alien now occupying the White House without a trace of his college records being revealed) really change anything?
Would it take Paris Hilton and her ilk off Page Six of the New York Post? Would people put down their cell phones and really begin talking with one another? Did they do this after 9-11?
Yet perhaps "The Event" has already happened, is happening right now and will continue to happen all around you, day after day, week after week and year after year.
Consider "The Event" which was not long ago facing Karen Russell. She's the best and most infamous person you've never heard of. Karen is a beautiful black woman from the pristine Central American nation of Belize who rocked the planet at the Miss World contest a few years ago.
Karen, who was "discovered" while working at a gas station, probably would have won Miss World, had she not stepped aside in support of Amina Lawal and her baby Wasila. Amina was designated to be stoned to death in Nigeria for adultery.
At the Miss World contest in Nigeria that year, Karen realized that only by leaving Nigeria and suspending the Miss World contest could global opinion be mobilized to help Amina and her baby.
On the other side of the world, in Belize, journalist Anthony C. LoBaido sat on a dock, having not said a single word for eight straight days, still in shock from the death of his beloved parents within four months of one another. Then out of the blue, while looking at a photo of Amina and Wasila (contained in a newspaper clipping originally published in the South Africa Mail & Guardian and later reposted on WND.com) Karen Russell walked right up to Anthony LoBaido on that very same dock and sat down next to him.
When I heard Karen's story on the dock that day while overlooking the jade green reef, I was deeply moved. She told me how she had walked through a plate glass window as a little girl.
She said, "Just look at my scars, Anthony! I'm not beautiful. I'm just cute ..."
WND.com published Karen's fairy tale story over the 2004 Christmas season. It was called "The Little Drummer Girl."
Clearly "The Event" for Karen Russell, ex-gas station employee, was the choice between becoming the next Halle Berry if she won Miss World, or leaving the chance at being Miss World behind in support of a woman and baby she did not even know.
(At the time Karen was number one in the pre-judging, though she told me a few weeks ago that she might have actually been number two behind Miss South Africa).
Out of the 337 stories I have published on WND.com, my stories on Harry Wu, Bert Sachse and the real story behind the film Leonardo DiCaprio film "Blood Diamond," Lek Chailert's elephants, Aki Ra and his land mine crusade, Little Angels' Aids babies in South Africa and the aforementioned Karen Russell tale are my favorites. Every single one of the people I detailed in those articles have experienced "The Event" in their own lives.
Usually "The Event" is a face-off against the Devil in one form or another. Recall the New Testament story of Jesus facing down Satan in the wilderness.
Do you want to be the next Halle Berry or do you want to protect Amina and Wasila? God is watching you -- from a distance.
And by the way Karen Russell, can you make the right choice if you live in a world that seems to be increasingly sick and violent? A world where gas station workers might be executed for the sake of a few dollars. As for the evil dynamic of our world, some people get rich off of that. Others get killed because of that. It's really that simple. It's Cain vs. Abel. It's the modern Cain who is more than able to stage his own "Events" every day.
Like Cain, many people these days are users, self-involved and terrible liars. Others abandon their husbands and/or merely cheat on them. Some abandon their own children. Some people even try to kill themselves. Others put a needle into their arm. It's sad how people have turned into monsters.
The good people who lead others in the right path are often driven into the wilderness while those clearly unable to lead and wallow in darkness (usually they are lacking in talent and achievement and hide behind a wall of lies) remain the center of attention. We discern all these things as the Apostle Paul commands, rather than judging them. For we know God will execute His righteous judgment on the wicked. That is also something unfolding all around us if we look closely enough.
If you look through the newspaper there is every kind of evil under the sun. But there are also many, many good things happening too. We can't become overwhelmed by the darkness when there are people like Karen Russell "out there." If only we would look half as hard at the heart of Karen Russell instead of wondering about the heart of E.T.
That is why as a journalist I have devoted my life to serving others, standing up for those who have no voice, and sometimes taking great risks to tell the very best stories. Stories I have collected from the four corners of the Earth. Karen Russell is (again) certainly one of those stories ... Consider the odds of us meeting on that dock in Belize? After both of us having spent time in Africa?
As an aside, Karen contacted me this past Spring semester out of the blue (and what were the odds of that?) and I am going to visit she and her family in Australia (or some such country) by the end of October of 2010.
In the end, "The Event" is not some grand scheme cooked up by the transnational elites who rule the world at this time. "The Event" is rather the great sign or signs that God is giving you to unite with others of good faith, to repent, to inspire, to know God and His Son, to love, to forgive, to forget and to make right.
"The Event" is Susan Boyle making her singing debut on Britain's Got Talent.
"The Event" is the return of Rick Ankiel to the St. Louis Cardinals as a home run hitting center fielder after a long-lost career as a left-handed pitcher.
"The Event" is Rick Ankiel hitting a home run at Yankee Stadium and making a diving catch in the same center field where Mickey Mantle once roamed.
"The Event" is Bert Sachse leading 200 mercenaries to defeat 5,000 blood thirsty rebels who liked to hack off the limbs of children in Sierra Leone.
"The Event" is Aki Ra digging up 50,000 land mines after life as a child soldier with the Khmer Rouge.
"The Event" is Lek Chailert becoming the Mother Teresa of elephants in Thailand after being hunted by assassins herself.
If we are busy looking into outer space for "The Event," for the next assassination carried out by the Mossad, for the next 9-11, for a nuclear false flag or the results of the next bogus U.S. election, we will miss the "Main Event(s)" in our own spiritual development.
Do we imagine that any of us aren't actors on a stage as Shakespeare claimed, caught up in a morality play, a cosmic moral war which is really "The Event?"
Do we imagine that if our Master, Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was taken out to the desert to be tested by the Devil, that we ourselves will not be tested like gold so as to be refined?
If you're still not sure what "The Event" will be, don't ask Halle Berry.
Ask Karen Russell.
