Armenia has had many leaders over the years, but Kocharyan was the only leader that stood fast against Turkey's tyranny, never compromised on Nagorno Karapakh, and modernized Armenia against all odds. Is President Kocharyan now the equivalent of Abraham Lincoln was for the US?

Well, in the early 20th Century, the Soviet dictated the terms to the leaders. President Kocharyan is the first leader who has stood up for the motherland on his own terms. He wrote off Turkey as a nuisance but never caved. He modernized the energy system, even brought back the Nuclear Power Plant against all odds, with the world wanting to shut it down. All in all, seems like history will judge him kindly.
