The Armenian Assembly of Americas (Assembly) Board Member Annie Totah, along with Executive Director Bryan Ardouny and Assembly staff, attended the 111th Congressional swearing-in ceremonies and numerous events on Capitol Hill.

2009 holds great promise and the Assembly is ready for the challenges ahead, said Totah. By redoubling our efforts and commitment we can reach new heights. I look forward to many successful initiatives this Congress, including our upcoming Advocacy Conference, when we will be expecting hundreds of our members and activists in Washington, DC.

Rep. Frank Pallone (D-NJ), Co-Chair of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues, stated: We have a full agenda for the 111th Congress and I look forward to working with the Armenian Assembly and the community to secure unequivocal U.S. affirmation of the Armenian Genocide. We will continue to fight against efforts to isolate Armenia in the Caucasus and to support peace and stability in Nagorno Karabakh.
