Turkey and Armenia Back to Full Blog
Obama was tiptoeing through a minefield when he spoke in front of Turkey's parliament about Turkish atrocities in Armenia and he got
criticized for not calling what was done - "killing". Ok, it was "killing". And, if you wish - "ethnic cleansing".
But, before we trash Obama for being soft on the Turks and their bloody past let us review some history here: China 1937 and the Rape of Nanking - our Japanese allies, Dachau, Buchenwald, and Auschwitz;
our German friends, France in Algeria and Indo-China, and I just seen this on the history channel yesterday - Don't forget those guys who
John MCCain wants us to be better friends with - his former captors,
the Vietnamese. Tet, 1968 - City of Hue - mass executions. The NVA
came to town with names on a clipboard.
Well, the we can talk about our own sorrid past - the Civil War and the terribile conditions in the POW camps both in the North and The
South. How about the native Americans? And, those Korean's we smoked at that bridge during the Korean War?
I think I made my point. People who live in glass houses shouldn't
throw stones......
