I don't recall which hand points, but the hands would not be able to trade sides. The thumb would be on the wrong side of the hand if they switched positions. The hands are made from molds, so it would require sculpting a new hand to wind up with the opposite hand pointing. This is only my opinion as a customer. I don't know anything (literally) for certain.
