It would be nice to be comfortable as you perform. Could you add a vest to the turtleneck and find some nice slacks to match. Something that all goes well together and it becomes your look.
Also, I was wondering if we could exchange email addresses.
We are about the same age and work in ministry. I have no friends around here that are into ventriloquism. When I tell them I'm interested in learning how to become one they look at me funny.
So right now I'm just a closet want to be ventriloquist practicing my strange voices in secret.
