I have a school SOON that wants a writing theme, so I'm thinking out loud here.

Professor's Nightmare: Importance of beginning, middle, and end is equal.
Kangaroo: Fun ways to write character descriptions.
Rewrite: Good Samaritan story told in cowboy form, then as a modern tale of a boy on a tricycle.
Magic Drawing Board: Let your words paint a picture of the character.
Genres: Different types of books (Library trick 1 and 2)
Captain Hook puppet: Different ways to hook the reader.
