Greetings! I just sat behind a minivan that had the name of their business, and the contact information, painted on the rear window. However, they also had a bike rack, with a mounted bicycle, covering much of it.
I thought, "You've got to be kidding!" I may have even said it out loud, which is why I put it in quotes. Folks, if you're going to give someone your website be sure to take off the http:// It is unnecessary for the customer to type it in. I even leave off the www. most of the time as I figure most people know that something with a .com or.net after it is a website. I may be wrong on that point. If you are really in business then pay the annual fee for something that just has a .com or a .net. (I don't know what Canada has. .CA, I believe, which they stole from California.)
You want people to remember your website.
I also advise that you put a request on your answering machine for the person to say their number twice. Here is what I want to say, "Thank you for calling Puppets and Magic by Tony Borders. Please leave a detailed message and say your name and number twice. Thank you for saying your name and number twice. At the beep, leave a detailed message and say your name and number twice, and don't forget to leave the area code. Thank you!"
