I always pass this message to other birthday party entertainers:
"When you are in a birthday party, you are the main attraction. You are bigger than David Copperfield and Criss Angel. You are in charge of everything. You are the attraction of the party. You make a difference to everything for that special day. YOU ARE EVERYTHING FOR THAT NEXT X HOUR!"
When I go to a party with this thinking and attitude, I don't care if I am a baby sitter or a party entertainer.
You see, if I have this thinking, this 'aura' will spill over to even the adults. So far, I don't have a lot of parties where I am being treated like a baby sitter: I get the parent to join in, I stop their petty conversation and engage them to join in with their kids.
