Help...I've inherited a Puppet!

Hi...My father in law passed away and left me with a 1940's era Blackface Figure named "Wally". Can anyone help me as to how I can determine his value and any suggestions on finding him a home (Museums, E-Bay, etc...) Thanks, David Decker
