I am so happy with it, you can't imagine! I am not very good with the ventriloquism (I have been out of practice for 10 years or more now) I am getting some practice in before my first try at a public event- a fourth of July parade!
I am using Wild thing (I am calling her Luna- or Loona..lol)as a sale gimmick- who knows, if I do well, maybe people will want me to do parties! Most of what I do is loosely planned- just a few jokes- the rest is ad-libbed- and I do this mainly for the adults- not the kids...I have found the adults get a kick out of her coming on to men with funny pick-up lines (though I am only slightly suggestive- I would keep it pretty clean around kids) and flirting. I tried this out on my neighbors ( and passing motorists!) and got a lot of laughs..now all I need to do is stop my lips from moving completely!
Practice makes perfect!
I also plan to get Vern and Dinostar eventually- I can already to the baby dinosaur voice!
It is never too late to start- I am 34!
