Hiring puppeteers, drama people, college guys. Wanna Tour the USA?
August 27 2002 at 8:22 AM
Hey fellow wierdos! This is Darren from Puppet Productions, and I'd like to let everyone know that we are hiring.
I asked Ax if he would mind if I advertised a bit, and he said "Go ahead!" So please check out my fancy form letter:
We hire young guys or gals (usually college age) as performers/instructors in creative ministries. This
includes puppetry, drama, illusions and various related arts. We need applicants for next year!
Could you help us find able persons who would be interested?
This upcoming year we have altered the schedule so students only need to take one semester off
from school. (You don't have to be a student though!) We are currently looking to find talented young people for our spring
semester tour. This would require a commitment of several months. (February through June
2003)
Potential applicants can expect to have an all expense paid opportunity to serve in a ministry
capacity while simultaneously seeing the USA and making all kinds of ministry contacts.
We here at Puppet Productions will provide extensive instruction in order to prepare the touring
team. The team will then teach children’s workers, church volunteers and staff members how
to share Biblical truths in dynamic and entertaining ways. As workshop instructors and
performers we will expect applicants to be confidant and comfortable in front of an audience.
Here are some words from our workshop attendees and hosts from our 2002 tour:
“Just when I thought that you couldn’t outdo the last seminar with us, you find a way to soar to a new level.
It gets better every year. I can’t wait until next year!” –Billy Burns, Trinity Church
International; Lake Worth, FL
“...all had a wonderful time learning and enjoying the guys do their program. One of my veteran teachers
couldn’t believe the presenters could be so young and yet SO good!” –Tony Mitchell,
Heritage Baptist Church; Lynchburg, VA
“Wonderful! I very much enjoyed the variety. This is EXACTLY what churches need. Not only
puppets but everything else!” –Chris Gray, Baptist Temple; Oklahoma City, OK
It would also be safe to say that our teams in years past have a LOT of fun on the road. They
always enjoy themselves and consider their brief employment as a valuable and enriching time
in their lives. Many have returned to work with us again and again. It is also not uncommon for
our team members to get various job offers and residual ministry opportunities as a direct result
of people they have met while on the road. With all expenses paid, and a small weekly salary
coupled with a chance to encourage and educate fellow Christians (not to mention lots of travel
experience) this is a truly unique and beneficial job.
If you know someone who may be interested (it may be you) in this kind of opportunity please
direct them to www.puppetproductions.com there is link at the front page to the application area.
Or call 1-800-854-2151 and ask to speak to someone about applying as a training team member.
Take care everybody, I hope this letter finds some interested applicants!
