This afternoon, I finally had some time to look over this forum.
Wow there are some great ideas here.
The one on Oldies Karoke got me thinking.
A few years ago I discovered a local store devoted to D.J.'s and Karoke. They have or can get about any song in any style.
For a while I just had my puppets sing.
After studying with a voice/singing instruction C/D I have developed the confidence to sing duets with Nigel.(The puppet that rocks and talks)
Our favorites have ranged from I've been working on a railroad to I can't smile without you.(Manilow)
From Old Suzanna to Blue Suede Shoes.(Presley)
Parody songs to known tunes seem popular with our audiences.(such as I come from Kansas City, with some Codependcy-Old Suzanna, Or Do you know the Puppet Man -to the tune of The Muffin Man)
Thanks to all who contribute their ideas.
You have helped me make a better connection with my
audiences.
