Hey Ax,
What's the projected date for the new board? I think it will be a real hit, particularly when I use it in places where I've already used the original board!

Thanks for the constant innovation!

Remote Returns!

We think by September we will have the Remote Control Magic Drawing Board back in production. It is a great item, and there are a lot of entertainers already on the list for it. Contact Betsy to place an order at order@axtell.com or call (805) 642-7282. The Remote Board page is at http://www.axtell.com/rmdb.html

Is it worth it?

I currently have the original Magic Drawing Board and use it everywhere I go--It is a HUGE hit, always. I was wondering, though, if the remote-controlled board is really $1181 worth of better illusion compared to the hand-held version. I would love to hear from someone who has switched as to how much better the routine is or can possibly be with the RMDB.

Remote makes an impact

August 16 2006, 10:49 PM

I was just at a meeting with people who had been to a magic stage show. They saw a floating table, doves, and some outstanding parlor magic, but the first thing they remembered was the drawing that came to life. They said the magician drew a picture, which really wasn't that good. But when he walked away the eyes followed him. (Of course, the magician didn't notice.)
Then he walked closer to the front and the eyes kept following him. Finally he noticed.

I'd say that if you don't mind packing the easel the remote will make a "magical" impact.

Is it Remotely worth it?

If you want to read testimonials from people that bought the Remote Control board we have put up several here http://www.axtell.com/rmdb.html

There are several things to consider. Has your audience already seen you use the standard board? Would it be worth the extra impact to blow them away with it? What if in the same show you did the standard board (holding it) in the beginning of the show, then put the board away... Then bring it out again and draw some OTHER character near the end of your show and it talks with you walking away from it?

The standard board still blows people away that have not seen it before. In these cases you can still use the standard board and spend the extra money saved on PUPPETS! It's almost one of the most powerful tricks in magic today. Being a ventriloquist really brings it to life and let's it turn into a full blown routine.

The Remote board is amazing, because you walk away from the easel and it's talking under your control. It's more amazing than the standard board because of that... but if your audience isn't aware of the remote board...what have they lost? They are still amazed!

The easel packs away into the same case that the board comes in.

Any other questions?
