Hi,
Tony you sent me a kind of worksheet some time ago and said that you once wrote a skit for a ventriloquist including Willie The Kid and Peter Parker instead of Spiderman!
Can you think of anymore ideas for 'Wannabees' you put some on that reply such as Superman and Batmans Butler!
Thanks,
Jackx
You can take a popular story and make your vent figure one of the minor characters in the story. That turns them into an eyewitness.
Examples:
The prodigal son: He could be the other brother. Or Axtell's cow could be the fatted calf!
A bird puppet could be Captain Hook's parrot or the stool pigeon that helped the police capture a criminal.
The bull dog could be a sheep dog who helped David take care of sheep or the shepherd's outside of Bethlehem.
The blood hound could be Toby, who Sherlock Holmes would use on occasion to track down a criminal.
The elephant knew Dumbo and even signed up for his "How to fly" class in clown school.
The chimpanzee introduced Tarzan to Jane.
Willie the Kid wants to work for someone famous, like Bill Gates.
Laughin Louie is a stunt double for Brad Pitt! Anytime they think Brad might land on his face they put Laughin Louie in his place!
The frog is really prince Charming.
The lion tells about how he once met Daniel.
The old storyteller could be Captain Hook. He could tell about all the lies Peter Pan told about him. "I don't have a hook! I used to shake my finger at him and he thought it was a hook!"
He could also represent an eyewitness to anyone in History. "I told George Washington that he better sit down! You're rocking the boat, George!"
The raccoon could have had a job keeping Daniel Boone's head warm, so he knows a LOT about Daniel Boone!
Think of them as eyewitnesses or as having heroes that others don't normally have.
