Folks..Haven looks like a neat event, yet it seems as if early registrations are crucial. Yet at this point I'm 10-1 trying to get an e-mail response from their site. Has anyone yet established a contact with the Vent Haven people? Perhaps a calendar of events. Thanks. Ron
Vent Haven is managed by Mark Wade, I believe. His website is www.kidshowvent.com and he keeps very busy with school shows. He probably does have a set time when he starts responding to the e-mails, but you may want to try to reach him through www.kidshowvent.com in case there is something wrong with the other e-mail address.
> Good Day,Mark,
> I am a beginner vent from Ontario. On the Axtell site the Vent Haven convention has been lauded by Axtell and by vent Tony Borders. I would like to attend; however am I painting myself into a corner if I wait until the 2007 brochure is released? If I wait until then will there still be rooms available? . My only other question is if the convention is geared to help people who are still wearing their rookie hat? Thanks for your help

Hi Ron,
Great to hear from you and don't worry...we have a block of rooms reserved through June. When you call to make a room
reservation, just tell them you are with the Vent Haven Ventriloquists' ConVENTion and you'll get a room and our special rate.
Also..our conVENTion is for everybody...beginners thru pro's, so you will find a lot of good things.
Our brochure will be out the last week in January and the online brochure will be out at the same time (you can
actually download the brochure from our website..at the end of the month).
I look forward to meeting you and I hope you will come up and introduce yourself! See you in Ft. Mitchell!
Wow..Sunday morning at 23C in Portugal and Monday in Trawna at -25C..whiteouts and frozen hexagons on the bridges over the canals in Lindsay.Great news is the registation info is available on line from Vent Haven for its convention. Now as Kellog's says..a cereal question. Regarding the open mike..one would sure have to have a lot of grit to go on a stage when some of the greatest vent sensei in the world are there.
Last year Maestro Axtellwa was there. Course as a young disc jockey you'll take on anyone and a 25 year rock musician challenges everybody on a bi-weekly basis.
Man goodbye jet lag..must be one's punishment for double crossing the Atlantic Ocean.

There is no greater feeling than to do something that scares you to death and have a talented person you admire tell you how much they enjoyed it! Unless, of course, it's going from -25C to 20C. That would be a great feeling! Sorry I didn't write sooner, Ron. But I was busy watering my flowers and getting an early start on a suntan here in Sacramento, California.
