Congratulations on using your puppet! I'm glad that you're hooked! Are you in need of a religious Easter skit about Jesus coming back alive or is it for a secular audience?
Did you perform with something other than a puppet before? Such as magic? Pantomime? (Below is a pantomime skit.)

I have been a full time childrens entertainer for 10 years.
First time using a puppet in the act.
Been using comedy magic/balloons/music.
My usp is a Clown that does not wear makeup.
I'm looking for a Non religious Ester Script.
Where do I find the Below is a pantomime skit.)

Sorry. The pantomime skit would involve a large egg (usually available around Easter) and a musical background. The music starts off lighthearted and you walk out with your Easter basket. You pick up a few eggs that are half-hidden on the stage, getting excited about each one. You can open them up and eat the candy, or whatever you like. You move an upside down Easter basket and there is a giant egg! You pick it up and it begins to talk! (The musical background changes to a mysterious theme.) "Put me down! I get dizzy this high up!" You wonder what's inside and as you begin to open it the egg yells, "OUCH! What are you doing?" You shake it, ("Bluh-bluh-bluh-bluh-bluh. I think I'm getting seasick." You put it down and it starts to cry like a baby. After about ten seconds you can't take it anymore and you pick it up and hold it like a baby. You put it to your shoulder and pat it. (Burp!) You cradle it in your arms and start to tickle it. (The egg giggles.) The music changes to a lullaby and you begin to rock it. (Snoring is heard. You put it back on the ground on some soft Easter grass.
Note: If you have a live assistant they can be offstage making all the egg sounds.
Magic that goes with Easter: Use the t.tip to make a silk vanish and then have it reappear inside a medium size egg.
There is a magic trick by Ian Adair that has Easter Eggs inside a net. When a child "chooses one" you are able to force it. It costs under $10. It is available through www.grandillusions.com. And you already know about different ways to produce a live bunny.
The Axtell special effects drawing board can be used to draw an egg, then erase the top half and draw a cracked open bottom half. Suddenly a picture of your elf puppet rises up out of the egg. This introduces him.
Since you have an elf already I would recommend that he do a skit about filling in for the Easter bunny. He has all this experience painting toys in December, so he just paints eggs in March. (The slow season.)
V: Vent E: Elf
V: Boys and girls, I am very excited because we have a special visitor today! The Easter Bunny is going to take a break from painting all of those eggs and he is going to join us today! (You look in the case and gasp!)
E: (voice) Hello, there! Are you ready for me to come out?
V: You're not quite what I had in mind!
E: Just tell them how I look. So they won't be surprised.
V: Well... He has long ears.
E: The better to hear you with!
V: And he has a small nose.
E: So I can't smell you as much!
V: And his nose kind of twitches.
E: Aaaaachooo! Can I come out, please? It's a little chilly in here.
V: (Bring out the elf.)
E: Wow! Look at this! Where is all the snow?
V: We don't have snow right now.
E: Wow! At the north pole we have snow all year round.
V: You're from the North Pole?
E: Yes. I work up there. I have an important job! The other elves really look up to me.
V: So, you're an elf.
E: Yes. What were you expecting? The Easter Bunny?
V: Well, actually, yes! I told the boys and girls that the Easter Bunny would be here today.
E: And they believed you? (pause) Actually, I'm here because the Easter Bunny needed some help. It's a very busy time of year for him, you know! And he has all of those kids at home too. Do you have rabbits at your house?
V: I have ___ bunnies.
E: And a whole bunch of dust bunnies. Ha, ha, ha! Sorry! That's a dirty joke! Ha, ha, ha! I better be careful. I don't want to be on the naughty list.
V: Now, you said that you are helping the Easter Bunny?
E: I'm helping the Easter Bunny paint the eggs. I used to do face painting but I got fired.
V: Why did you get fired from painting faces?
E: They didn't like the roller I was using! Did you see The Grinch? That was some of my best work!
V: So you are painting eggs now.
E: Yes. I put stripes on them. I like the racing stripes the best. Vrrooom! Vrooom! (makes sounds like a racing car). Eeeeerrrrr! Crash!
V: What was that?
E: I crashed! You know, I really like painting eggs. It is eggs-citing! And the Easter Bunny said I'm doing an eggs-cellent job!
E: Eggs-actly! I'm becoming an eggs-pert about Easter Eggs!
V: Good! What can you tell us?
E: I can tell the boys and girls where the eggs come from.
V: Go ahead.
E: They come from the store!
V: How do they get to the store.
E: In an egg carton.
V: But how do the egg cartons get to the store?
E: In a truck!
V: Where do the eggs come from originally?
E: A factory?
V: They don't come from a factory. They come from a farm...
E: Oh, I know! They come from a pharmacy!
V: No! They come from a farm! Boys and girls what animal lays the eggs?
(kids yell out Chicken)
V: Did you hear that?
E: Yes. They called you a chicken!
V: No. They want you to know that eggs come from a chicken.
E: Oh! Oh! I have to go now. I just had a great idea!
V: (You start to bring him back to the container.) What's your idea?
E: Instead of painting all of those eggs, I'll just go paint the chickens!
I can use a roller!

I'm glad you liked it. I had fun doing it. I tried to write it so you could tape the puppets lines, as I didn't know if you had learned ventriloquism yet. It is written so you respond to his lines, instead of the usual figure responding to ventriloquist. This makes it much easier to memorize from the tape. That is how the Ax-Trax strive to work as well.

I have not learnt Vent and have no plans to do so.
The way you & Steve do the tracks work great for me.

This script is really nice for the Elf puppet. Will there be an Easter script CD using the wide open voices? I need one for secular and one for Christian. I have started searching, but if Axtell will be producing them, I won't need to search any longer. The Axtell wide open CD's are great for my bird puppets.

I'm glad that you liked the script. You can use a condensed version of it in secular settings. You would have to leave out all references to the cross and to Jesus dying and rising again, but the mistaken holiday portion can be the same.
I once used a parrot in a story about delivering eggs. He was hatched from one of the Easter eggs, and the Easter bunny thought that he was a rabbit! He couldn't believe how slowly he would walk behind him when hiding the eggs. Then one day a dog started to bark at the Easter bunny and the parrot flew into the air and started to screech and dive at the dog and chased it away. The Easter bunny then realized that this was no rabbit! From then on the parrot's job was to fly along with the bunny and carry the basket of eggs in his beak. Everyone was happy!
