Axe - Congrats on Snowman and Turkey

Montana's Santa

Steve, congratulations on the new snowman and turkey puppets. Now I'm torn between the old storyteller, polarbear and snowman -- all those dreams and so little money.....sob!

Make puppets earn their keep.

When I want another Axtell puppet I ask myself if it will earn its keep. For example, a library called and asked if I had an Australian theme. I said that I did not, but I would be willing to write one if several libraries in the county wanted it. Then I sent her pictures downloaded (with Steve's permission) of the Kangaroo and the Dodo (which I called a Kookaboora Bird). They loved the photos and I booked enough libraries to make it worth the purchase of the kangaroo (I already had the Dodo). For the past two years the kangaroo has also been the star of my "Hoppy Birthday" party show all about animals. It's a great theme and parents love the puppets.

The snowman would easily get you shows in places that don't want Christmas during the holidays. (You could become the shoemaker yourself, or old King Cole, or King Midas, etc. instead of Santa.) Then talk about winter tales.

The Old Storyteller would be useful year round.

The Polar Bear would be a winter animal in the winter, but throw a flower lei and/or a grass skirt on it in the summer and he's off to get a tan.

Brilliant Tony! You can pull a gift out of the pocket for the birthday kid as well. I'll put that on the Kangapage. Ax

So many puppets, so many dreams....

Thanks Tom. The snowman could also be used for "global warming" talks? We have a regular Turkey which is used by several all year. The Cooked Holiday Turkey during the off season is of course "Fred the Fried Chicken".
