I have the little green guy, I think his name is Junior? Since Axtell Expressions no longer offers them Steve allows sales on this site. I would sell him for $35 plus actual shipping. He is a little faded, but in otherwise good condition. I'll put some Armor All on him and he should look pretty good.
Thanks to Tony, I now have Junior but still need Bob and Larry veggietale puppets made by Axtell. If anyone is willing to sell theirs, then I'm willing to purchase them.
Thanks again Tony!
Everyone have a blessed day.
Ken
I now have located and purchased all three of the Axtell Veggie Tales Puppets (Bob, Larry, and Jr.). Thanks everyone for your assistance in locating them. I certainly do appreciate it.
Now if anyone has the Khalil worm puppet from the Jonah movie, I'm willing to purchase it.
Sincerely,
Ken
Interesting story with Khalil....When the production company first contacted me with the idea of the rug-selling worm in a turban (sketches and concept) ...it was around Sept 9th 2001. This was before the movie was even in production. They wanted me to have input into the puppet design as they went along in character development. When we were attacked on Sept 11th, I contacted them about perhaps selecting a different characterization, perhaps a Texan worm in a cowboy hat. They said they would think about it, but then decided to stay with the original vision. Their intent was to stay true to the Bible times which took place in the middle east. They selected "Pakastan" as the homeland for Khalil and he remained a turbaned worm.
Unfortunately when the contract was over, we had to destroy all the remaining unsold Khalil inventory. That was hard to do. I have one of my own as a collector's item however.
If you haven't heard the amazing story of Phil Vischer and his "Rise and Fall of Big Idea" book...you will be happy to know that any rumors you have heard about their wrong doing was overturned in court. However, the bankruptcy prevailed...."Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie" did not save the company from that.
The current movie "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything" is in theaters now.
