Well, that's a wrap on that assignment. Here's what I have.Canada's National Film Board(decades of Academy Awards..I think 70!) has produced an animated short. They have seamlessly overlayed the images of real actors' eyes on to stop-animation puppets made of silicon. The flic is called Madame Tutti-Putli who is a wide-eyed twenties-like flapper.
It's already been nominated for the best animated short for the Academy Awards. The effects of human eyebrows, eyelashes and pupils are gobsmacking.
So how does one win a free Buddy Fam vent figure? Here goes..
The guy who suggested to the maker of Coca Cola that it be sold in glass bottles was given 100 thousand dollars.
So the Axtell Empire sends Borders to Ottawa to introduce the NFB to the new, remote-controlled figures(a freebie one for Tony would help him close the sale). I doubt few Canucks yet know of the Axtell remote work.
So, The Axtell remote concept is married to the NFB eye animation brainwave. The consequences..a new blockbuster movie..Tony gets a new figure. Secondly, the figure of Steve Axtell is fitted into a tux for the Academy Awards fete.

Very creative thinking Ron! However, Tony will be busy enough with them in the lowland....you should get a Hands-Free remote puppet and start showing it around Canada to businesses...(yes there are several Canadians already lining up to get one). Honestly any one of you who gets one can become a salesman for them in your area and earn $ by getting them to buy one from us, plus while you are showing them...you sell them YOUR SERVICES as a remote control operator. They buy one, and they hire YOU to come to their mall, business courtyard, trade show, store window, lunch room, restaurant, event, etc. and run it for them. Also you can sell your "programming skills" if they get a programmable MAGIC one.
Yes capitalism is alive and well if you want it. In fact it's practically Hands-Free!
First, Ron, I asked Steve about my getting a new figure that I could be proud of. He recommended 24 Hour Fitness. I told him I'm too cheap. Currently, I'm trying to gain enough weight to get a spot on America's Biggest Loser so I'll be in good shape.
Steve, great idea of having a business buy it and hire us as the manipulator. I once had a church complain about magic and puppetry to teach the gospel. I said, "Don't think of me as a magician and a puppeteer. Think of me as a deceiver and a manipulator." They were okay with that.
Back to the great ideas: The remote control bird could open up the following avenues for local business:
1. Unique commercial character.
2. Sales day promoter.
3. Local zoo, regular visitor.
4. Job at a local zoo on stage.
5. Theme parks.
6. Trade show booths
7. Singing Telegrams (The bird would make a great singer.)
For those that want to see a bit of what Ron is talking about see if your local Hollywood Video still carries any Thumb Wars titles. The actors were thumbs with human mouths superimposed on them. I can't recall if they had eyes as well. But I believe they did. Check it out! I give them two thumbs up for their thumb in cheek humor. They had parodies of Batman and Star Wars.
