Guys, there is a young hat company out there called Elope, and it makes some FANTASTIC looking and GREAT quality hats! Perfect for puppets. There is a NASA space helmet, a pharoah's hat, Pirate hat, etc. They run 25-40 U.S. dollars apiece, but they are wonderful. Bring your puppet in with you to try on for size. Ask your local party store if they can get a catalog from Elope if they don't already carry the hats. Here is one online retailer, and a quick search for elope hats will reveal more. If you just search for the word elope you may frighten your parents.

By the way, elope stands for "Everybody Laughing on Planet Earth". Sounds like a fun company. I hope to get a chef's hat for the Warthog. Cockroach Cuisine has an element of comedy. (K sounds are funny, but that's another lesson.) And I REALLY want a Pharoah's Egyptian hat just for storytelling. Great to use on volunteers. You can have a skit all prepared for the vent figure and it will appear to be adlib because you brought up a volunteer.
