This goes to show that even though he didn't HAVE to, Terry is a performer who is always improving his act. I was trying to think yesterday where I would be if I didn't have my Axtell puppets. I'd probably still be teaching school, wishing I could do puppetry full-time. Adding photos of Axtell puppets to my mailouts has generated enough "work", (is it really fair to call it work?) that I can keep busy enough to replace my teaching income.

That's the theme of a winner. A little bit of improvement everyday. Tiny little steps upward. Here's a photo sculpting Winston above.

Any chance Winston the turtle puppet will be available to the public for purchase? I had heard news of these for Christmas 2008?
Pleae inform me of nay news reguarding this subject.

Ok....I saw (and met) Terry Fator at the ConVENTion. He used the new Winston at least 3 times. It is a BEAUTIFUL puppet by the way! Anyway, so he brought the regular Winston out, but for his Roy Orbison impression, Winston was dressed in a wig and glasses. he also had a guitar and an arm rod for "strumming" the guitar. Mr. Axtell, did you make 2, or did he do a quick change with Winston?

Yes we made 3 "Winston The Impersonating Turtles" for Terry... two regular and one Roy Orbison version. We are making 6 other new puppet characters for him now!

All winter at the driver haunts, waitresses would say,"have you seen that ventrikolest on TV?" I hadn't because I was too snobby to admit anything on TV could be top drawer.
At Vent Haven Terry said,"I was unknown in the vent world." Folks, as young Matt mentioned ,we saw him live in July at Fort Mitchell.
Vents, it's not hype..the guy is a superb impersonator /entertainer..he's definitely one to catch live.
By the way, I hear the Vent Haven group shots are going to be available soon as well as the group shot of all the Axtell attendees.
I stood near Axtell rep, Mary Fry. The camera likes her..as for me I had the perfect face for radio and hid behind my cheemp(early US space program pronunciation). I know such a Ham!
