One Way Street is pleased to announce a new event for the summer of 2009. Vent Summit will be a gathering for ventriloquists in beautiful Denver, Colorado.This will be a unique opportunity for ventriloquists to focus on their craft and how to best utilize it to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Several top Christian ventriloquists have already been confirmed as performers and presenters, including Judy Buch, Tim Cowles, Doug Nearpass, and Liz VonSeggen. Among the many workshop opportunities that will be offered will also be several opportunities for VIT (Ventriloquist in Training) members to continue working toward their next certification level.

Tony Borders will also be there to demonstrate a hands-free Axtell puppet and to give many ideas on putting your Axtell puppets to good use!

Howdy, folks! Does anyone know if you are going to the Vent Summit put on by One Way St? It will be a smaller, more concentrated venue, so the growth potential for each attendee will be huge!

I am planning on going! I think this is an awesome option since there is no I-Fest! One Way Street does have their registration for this on their site now. I'm excited about this eVENT, because it will be VENTS only! We're going to be the focus!! Cool!

Judy Buch, ventriloquist of the year and master at marketing and the difficult letters, will also be there.
Liz VonSeggen, another ventriloquist of the year, and master at character voices and teaching people how to improve will be there. I hope to have a private session with her myself to improve my character voices.
One Way St.'s site says who else will be there.

Next we'll have to work on an Axtell cruise out of Los Angeles with a trip to the studio when we get back!

V ENTRILOQUIST S UMMIT - D ENVER, CO

Calling all ventriloquists who âtalk for two,â and all âwanna-beâventriloquists: Plan now to attend

One Way Streetâs âVent Summitâ in the Mile High City. This âjourney toward excellence in ventriloquismâ

is for veterans, beginners, and everyone in between.

The actual location is Grace Chapel in Englewood, Colorado...right on I-25 across from Park Meadows

âShopping Resortâ just south of Denver.

The event begins Thursday evening July 9, and ends Sunday July 12 after lunch. Lodging is available

within walking distance of Grace Chapel, or nearby via Denverâs new âlight railâ system.

Our tentative Vent Summit staff includes July Buch, Tony Borders, Tim and Amanda Cowles, Liz

VonSeggen, Doug Nearpass, Steven Parker and JB Bryan.

The Vent Summit offers: chapel, lecture style workshops, hands-on experience, performance opportunities,

private coaching sessions, practice time, small group and critique sessions, networking opportunities,

a chance to serve in a local ministry, resources and more (tentative schedule to be posted online by

May 25). There will be a lunch outing to Casa Bonita where several of the teaching staff will perform

in the theatre. Both pre and post summit excursions will be available for those interested (options to be

listed online soon).

Workshops will be offered that meet requirements for the Ventriloquist in Training (VIT) program and

attendance at the Vent Summit will count as an I-Fest attendance for this year.

Registration price includes lunch and dinner (6 meals). Special rates (which include breakfast) at
