What is the best way to brace your Axtell creations so they sit up straight for a photo shoot ?
I'm starting to accumulate quite a gang of characters and want them to look good, but some slip right off the chair
and on to the floor instead of saying "cheese" .
If you are having trouble taking photos of your group of characters link them arm in arm use cloth pillows as props, on either side of the group to give it more stability. or sit with them and group them all around you. Good luck

I have a LOT of aluminum tripod stands. Some are mic stands, some are taller for photographer's backdrops. If you go to the photo studio, they will probably have some extra stands around. These work great.
You can also buy the wooden base, and dowel rod stands at Axtell. These are good for tabletop displays at conventions where you are trying to attract business.
I recommend a solid black or solid white background. Ask if they can make it a solid color digitally. This allows you to easily add words later to the photo.
Get permission to mass produce them, use them for ads, etc. afterward. Essentially you will need to ask for all the rights to the photo. You may have to pay a little extra, but it will be worth it. With today's home cameras many pros know they are lucky to get clients. But the pros sure do a great job!
Put your head uncomfortably close to the figure. This shows that the figure is "safe". You will feel wierd, but it should look better. Group hug!

I also have vent figure holders made of aluminum that holds the figures you simply place the stand in the figures back and place stand where you want to pose them

If you're the resident alcoholic, like me, some puppets fit perfectly over alcohold bottles. Like wine, or vodka bottles. They're heavey enough to hold them in place and stand up sturdy, without being noticable.
