No, I'm not trying to push blacklight ventriloquism, but that would be pretty easy! As the daylight savings time puts us into dark evenings at an early hour, consider adding a blacklight segment to your evening shows.
Here are some possible blacklight ideas:
Rope tricks. White ropes, flourescent scissor handles (you could even paint the blade), white gloves, or flourescent fabric gloves. Professor's nightmare would look great. Many jump ropes are flourescent now. Check the Dollar Tree.
Juggling scarves. Awesome!
Large card tricks. Several of your large card tricks have white card stock with black line drawings on them. Perfect for blacklight.
Magic Drawing Board. You guessed it! It is PERFECT for blacklight.
Object Lesson. Get toys in flourescent colors.
Flourescent balloon twisting. They are very hard to find, but they do make Qualatex neon color balloons. I use gloves to twist them so they can see my hands working. But I haven't been able to find any for a few years!
Blacklight puppetry, of course.
Now I'm not saying that the whole show should be done in blacklight, though that would be something to see. I'm just saying it's a nice addition to your regular show if you can add a window of blacklight.
Tony this is new to me.... the board paper illuminates well??
Ventriloquism in black light is interesting... good if you have poor lip control I guess. Ax

It works well for most audiences in blacklight. It wouldn't be bright enough for a sanctuary or a school gymnasium unless the audience was all pretty close. I like it! The white paper has a purplish tint for an eerie feeling. Perfect for Halloween!

You might want to check out Famous Peoples Theatre in which the performers did the whole show in various colours. Their rise to fame was guaranteed when Liberace saw them and became a supporter.

Things you can do in a black light theater that you wouldn't dare try in a lighted theater...I'll leave that to you imagination. The wonders of black light we once attempted doing a musical show in black light and it was awesome, doing it with magic/juggling puppetry and ventriloquism would make a world of wonder for any group of children/family or adults. You have to be there to believe it.
