Smoke-Blowing Dragon

October 13 2009 at 9:31 AM

I have a smoke-blowing dragon and am having difficulty. When I try to have my hand in the mouth and the can of smoke inside the dragon at the same time, it feels awkward. How do you get the smoke to release? I was using the heel of my hand. During one performance, I tried to get the smoke to spray and it didn't work. Anyone else who has the dragon experience this? Any suggestions, Steve? Or anyone else.

It takes elbow grease

It is designed for your elbow to rest just above the can which is slid down into the tail of the dragon. To actuate it, you hold the can with your free hand grasping over the tail, and pushing the can up against your elbow so it sprays out the nose.

Does that help? How can I explain it better? If you are having trouble others are too. A video?

I pushed the can down into the tail, followed your directions and POOF! It works a lot better. Thanks, Steve!

OH! That's how it works!

Well, I'll be! I've been using it upside down with a little hole I found under the tail. I like this method MUCH better! I got some weird looks from the audience when the smoke came from "down under".

One time I used the canned smoke in a library and set off the fire alarm. Check above you!

Doria, you got a much more polite answer from Steve than some of us would have... for instance, had I asked, he would have said, "Blow it out your.....!!!!!" (I betcha he would)
