He shouldn't have any problem finding a willing partner. I think the above video had a great voice and personality for him.
I'd also like to point out a technical matter for ventriloquists. You will notice the upper part of the rat's mouth moving quite a bit on the rat. This is normally called "flipping the lid" because on many puppets it causes the top half of their head to move, thus losing eye contact. However, on the rat (an other long joweled puppets) the upper mouth can move without affecting the eyes. That is a nice bonus and makes it a really great puppet for a pro or beginner alike.

Actually Dirk isn't really going to sell it. He told somebody through YouTube himself that he was kidding. He often makes that joke with his characters alot, most notably Rocko the Bulldog.

Speaking of conventions, I'd love to hear from anyone who went to I-Fest. I haven't been the past two years (they didn't have it last year) and I'm starting to get withdrawals. Partly because I always got to see the newest Axtell products at I-Fest! Anyone go there and try something out? Tell us about your time, classes, or any Axtell puppets that caught your eye.

Facebook has all but replaced almost every social network....it is by far the best and biggest place to market yourself and network. I haven't used myspace for 2 years now. Seriously I would be 25-50% less effective without facebook.
Steve Petra posted the video on Facebook and it is not downloadable or emebbable, sorry.
If he has time perhaps he can upload it to Youtube where I can grab it and post it here for you non-facebookers, but it would be a FAR GREATER benefit for you to sign up for facebook, then you can begin growing 25-50% stronger in your marketing and networking. It's amazing how many individuals, schools, churches and organizations you can connect to on there too.
When you do shows you can announce "don't forget to join the Tony Borders Fan club on Facebook".
I understand your hesitance... I had it too. It was a friend of mine magician Tim Hanning who pushed and prodded me.... just try it Ax and if you don't think it's helping dump it. I told him I was already spending too much time on my forum and on all the mailing lists as well as LinkedIn and MySpace and I just don't have time for yet another social network. I tried it and I haven't looked back. By far the best decision on the web in the last 5 years for me.
