The theme for next years reading program at your local library will be DREAM BIG-Read...has anyone come up with any ideas yet, could they share...

I always have a box that I start collecting things in until I sit down to write the show. I have collected some fun star/moon folk tales, some books I'd like to incorporate and some fun star fabric. I am planning to do some with nocturnal animals, some with nighttime sky stuff and am working on a song to sing.

I HOPE to do Peter Pan's BIG Pirate Adventure.

A person could do "Where the Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak, and use the monster puppet. I believe that has to do with dreaming.

Or you could use your biggest Axtell puppets (Panda, Bear, Hippo, Elephant, Lion, etc.) and just call it something that has to do with Big Puppets!

Where do your dreams take you, to a far away distant land, or space where no one has gone before, There are so many dreams that can be turned into reality, by just reading, because by reading your off on an adventure everytime you open a book, Ask your friends what they dream about and what they do to make those dreams come true, The idea of saving notes in a box everytime you come up with a new thought is wonderful...looks for books about dreaming big in your local library and get other ideas. Has anyone come up with a routine idea sample yet? Good luck to all, and to all a good night, keep looking up, keep dreaming.

Got my show title and 5 puppets which will be narrowed down to 4. Also got an opener, running gag and a few ideas for magic segments. Still mulling over several audience participation bits and a finale but that's enough to get promo material ready.

Lisa's got the right idea for collecting ideas. I create a folder and start filling it with stuff - create folder on my computer with ideas, props, photos, and use the recorder on my cellphone to record vocalized musical bits I think of while I'm out and about.

I love this part of the process - the collecting stage - everything is a possibility!
