I have to do a VERY short version of my Halloween show for an event - they want 15 minutes. My show is 45 minutes reguloarly, I also have a 30 minute version but how do I shorten it? What would you folks do?

Lisa to answer this more intellegently you would have to tell us what your show comprises of, where the time is spent, do you do fun and games, do you do a workshop, how long do you use your puppet, ask less questions, let the mic mouth say that you have to get back to your planet, due to 'something' good luck wish i knew more of your itinerary, but there we are, I used my little tinker...

To shorten your show-
Leave off the punchlines to jokes and don't bother with the finale of each magic trick.

You can cut your 30 minute show in half only one of two ways:
1. Cut the amount of time for each segment
2. Cut out segments.
I did a 7 minute library showcase, in which I demoed 3 puppets and held up 2 more. I wanted them to see that I had more than one puppet coming. I cut each of the 3 puppets' skits way down.
15 minutes at a faster pace is generally worth 18-20 minutes of a regular show.
I once shortened my magic show by 10 minutes by leaving off the finale of each trick. For some reason it didn't get a very good response. I think your show will be great, however.
