So as some of you know I got a pair of ferrets that I rescued from a bad owner. "They are doing great by the way"
I have been slowly introducing Josey to them. The past week I have kept them in there cage and let Josey sniff and check them out. Today I decided I would take the female ferret and introduce her to Josey and vise versa. I put Josey in a down, rolled him over and rubbed his belly while holding the ferret in the other hand, just trying to relax Josey which seemed to be ready to play with the little girl, by reading his posture. I then carefully let the two meet after putting Josey into a stay, and wouldn't you know it the little #$%^# clamped onto Josey's lip. Not quiet ready to deal with the "ferret biting the dog" I had to reposition and grab her. ARGHHHH! Josey was a good boy and did not move not one inch he stayed perfectly still with his full attention on me. "ya he got a lot of good boys". After I grabbed the little girl, I realized that it wasn't an attack she was wanting to play. So I let her go and she continued to nip at Josey and good old Josey would just nose her across the floor, tail swinging 90miles an hour. Now she has figured out how to get him though. She gets under my coffee table and ambushes Josey. They are still under direct supervision due to the fact I don't want Josey to get carried away and crush her with his big feet. Trust me they hurt. Who would have thought that a less than one pound ferret would be the aggressor to a 110lb Akita.
