But that is just something I would NOT do -- Ferrets attack when they're afraid for their lives & you must see how they would be scared of a strange dog <:-(

I wouldn't put my Akita through it either, requiring the poor dog to make nice when a terrified ferret in full-out defensive attack-mode HURTS him or her -- Introductions, if they are actually necessary, should always be done with a bite-proof / trample-proof barrier between the animals...
