Have you seen?

Have you seen all the info on the amount of foreclosures going on in this country?
Do you realize the amount of pets that are being left behind in these foreclosures?
Have you seen how the unemployment rate is up and people are loosing their jobs?
Did you see the AKC questionnaire about what would you give up so you could feed your pet?

This country is in trouble and pets are suffering just as people are. Many cannot afford to feed themselves let alone take care of their pets. I had both dogs have emergency vet visits that cost me over $300 in the last week. I no longer do any of my pampering items to make sure my dogs have food, toys, and whatever care they need.

I know it makes us all angry that people are abandoning their pets. Remember, not everyone sees their pets as an extension of their family. Unlike myself, who consider my dogs my kids, I would do anything for them. In fact, I've spent the last month making sure they have a pet directive in my will, and they are taken care of in case something happened to me. Yes, my dogs have "god-parents". :-)

I only ask before we throw stones, please at least consider, what people might be going through and they are doing the best they can.
