Keep an eye on him tonight. If he continues to show signs of something in the hind leg then try and keep his activity to a minimum. I wouldn't let him run around outside or even off a leash until thses symptoms disappear.
Hana has had injurys like this and she was better in less than a week. But I had her activity to a minimum.
You can give him aspirin if you think he is in pain. The regular aspirin though not the coated kind because they don't absorb it it just goes right out the same way it came in.
The thing to remember with aspirin or any pain reliever is that if it works then they tend to not feel the pain and they can become more active then they should which can slow down the healing process.
I would just keep an eye on him and surely keep his activity to a minimum.
