We have bunny nests all over especially this time of year. Same as what you describe and I myself have accidentally stepped and almost twisted my ankle in one or two.Hana has shown signs of something like that and she was limping a little a day or two then back to herself running around in a week.
Sounds like something minor to me:)Could have been his leg fell asleep or something.
