Hi, I'd love to know how affectionate your Akita is and how they show it.
With Magnum, I'll be on the floor (lately painting baseboards) and he will come and rub his head on my back, then put his head on my shoulder, and give me kisses. It is the cutest thing in the world. Every morning I get in the shower and no matter what he comes and lays in front of the shower door. When I'm done, he likes to lick my feet. When I move through the house he moves with me and lays right at my feet. Sometimes I don't hear him and I've tripped over him a few times. Oops! He loves to cuddle on my bed with me while I read but knows to get off when the lights are turned out. Magnum is just a very huggy and kissy dog.
I've never had a dog as affectionate as my Akita so love to hear other stories.
